Imogen Kwok

Food Stylist

Imogen Kwok is a London-based chef and creative director. Redefining today’s culinary arts, she has become a tastemaker across broader culture.

Her work is known for integrating food and design, blurring lines between sculpture and dining through trompe l’oeil, sensitivity to texture, and meticulously arranged geometric forms.

Imogen’s irreverent and innovative approach to cooking has developed from a background in Michelin starred restaurants, food styling, and the arts.

TYW: What are five wardrobe essentials everyone should own?
Imogen: Jewellery that you wear every day (I mix sterling silver and gold rings and bracelets), black tank top/body suit (I like Klayd for thinner tighter tank tops while Flore Flore’s body suit has the perfect neckline and the material thickness), leather bomber jacket, Maryam Nassir Zadeh Olympia wedges, tailored pants.

TYW: What's the most versatile piece of clothing you own?

Imogen: Probably a black bodysuit.

TYW: What’s one thing you invest in, and one thing you’re happy to save on?

Imogen: Invest in beautiful bags that can make any look really fabulous (I love my new pony hair Fendi) and boots. Happy to save on sweatshirts like Fruit of the Loom crewneck sweatshirts.

TYW: What are three beauty products you can’t live without?

Sophie: Face and body oil (very into Bamford and Naturium right now then BioOil is always a staple), Great Jones Miracle Balm in pinky rose is what I use every day and everywhere– eyelids, cheeks, as highlighter. And Saie tinted moisturiser.

TYW: What song are you currently listening to on repeat?

Imogen: ‘Rosy’ by Wet.

TYW: Bath or shower?

Imogen: Bath always – my apartment doesn’t have a shower so I take a bath every day ...and two on a good day.

TYW: Coffee or tea?

Imogen: Coffee really wires me up so I only drink it when I actually need energy or late at night like an espresso martini.

TYW: Music or movies?

Imogen: Both!

TYW: Trainers or heels?

Imogen: Again, both.

TYW: Lipstick or lip gloss?

Imogen: Lip gloss.

TYW: Baggy or straight-leg jeans?

Imogen: Right now baggy– my favourites at the moment are the Margiela slit side jeans.

TYW: Online or in person shopping?

Imogen: I prefer in person but end up typically buying online. Jeans I always have to try on first though. I’m that person who writes to customer service giving all my measurements to make sure something will fit so I don’t have to buy and return.
